As a System Engineer at Ophir Optronics (MKS Instruments), you will partner with the Beam Profilers R&D team to expand our product line of laser beam measurement systems. In this role, you will report to the Hardware R&D Manager
You will make an impact by
Designing new, multidisciplined products, expanding our lineup of product offerings
Planning and executing product tests of complex opto-mechanical systems, including documented plans and reports
Designing and implementing test benches for complete system testing of new product developments
Collecting and analyzing statistical data, yielding otherwise hidden insights
Troubleshooting problems across a wide variety of disciplines, including opto-mechanics, electronics, firmware and software

Bachelor of Science in Physics or Engineering (Optical, Mechanical, Electronic) or related fields of study. MS an advantage
2 years of related work experience
Academic or industrial experience with design of optical systems
Hands-on lab experience
Ability to quickly and independently learn new design tools and environments
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
Preferred Skills
Professional experience with one or more of SolidWorks, Zemax, ORCAD
Experience with statistical analysis methods
High level of technical expertise in standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Working Conditions
Must be available to work full-time in Jerusalem
